Terms and Conditions for Showstoppers Classes

'We / Our' is a reference to The Showstoppers Group (M & R Performing Arts Ltd)
Any reference to “You/Your” is the child’s parent / carer
You are required to adhere to the timings of the class. If you are consistently more than 5 minutes late to pick up your child we reserve the right to charge you for our time. If it will not be you or your partner picking up your child, you must inform Miriam or Rosanna in writing via email to email@example.com and ensure that we are aware of this arrangement. If there is a change of arrangement during the day regarding who is to pick up your child, please inform us in writing via email to firstname.lastname@example.org and ring Miriam on 07763 915 011 or Rosanna on 07979737769. If you cannot get through to us please send a text.
If children bring a snack, they must have finished it by the time class commences and it must not contain nuts.
All teachers are DBS checked and there will be a member of staff present who is First Aid qualified.
We recommend that your child does not bring any precious items such as jewellery and mobile phones and we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to any personal items.
We take no responsibility for any lost personal items on site but will of course do our to help locate them.
Booking arrangements and payment
Bookings form must be completed and submitted through www.theshowstoppersgroup.co.uk and any other correspondence relating to Showstoppers must be made via email to email@example.com.
Your child’s place is only confirmed once we have received the booking form, full payment has been made and we have confirmed their place in writing.
If we are fully booked when we receive your form and payment, we reserve the right to put your child on the waiting list until a space becomes available. We will return your payment if this is the case.
We offer one non committal trial class which takes place once, on the first class of term. If you would like to try the classes before you commit to the term. Please let us know if you would like to attend a trial class via the contact page on www.theshowstoppersgroup.co.uk and we will try and accommodate the request. There are limited spaces.
Payment must be made upfront termly via bank transfer and by the deadline specified on the Showstoppers website.
If we fail to receive payment by the date specified, we reserve the right to terminate your child’s place at Showstoppers Classes.
Fees are reviewed every Term.
Health and Safety
In the event of an emergency we will endeavour to contact the designated emerency contact number as soon as is reasonably possible.
In the event that your child requires medical treatment, including the administration of local anesthetics in any emergency during his/her stay at Showstoppers, we are entitled to act as we consider necessary.
Students participate at their own risk and are obliged to inform us of any existing injuries or medical condition on their booking form.
We are entitled to use plasters, cleansing wipes and can support them in changing their clothes in the event of them becoming wet or soiled due to an accident unless stated otherwise on your booking form.
We will from time to time take photographs and film footage of students during class time to use for Showstoppers marketing and publicity material. If you do not wish for your child to be photographed/filmed please state this clearly on your booking form.
We do not tolerate under any circumstances any antisocial behaviour, bullying, exclusion or any other behaviour that is deemed disruptive to the other children or staff. If your child is showing signs of the behaviour described, you will be telephoned and your child will not be able to attend Showstoppers anymore. You will not be refunded.
We reserve the right to exclude students from lessons at our discretion.
We reserve the right to make changes to the assisting and teaching staff.
Showstoppers classes are by their very nature not absolutely free from hazard. Showstoppers makes every effort to minimise risk to participants. Showstoppers only accepts liability for physical injury to a participant that is shown to result from negligence on the part of Showstoppers. You acknowledge that other loss, damage and expense (including without limitation, loss of money, loss or damage to clothes and possessions, losses arising on the cancellation of a booking and the expenses of delay and the harm caused other than by negligence of Showstoppers) however arising is not the responsibility of Showstoppers and Showstopper’s liability is hereby limited.
Cancellation & Other Circumstances
Your child's place at Showstoppers will automatically continue for the consecutive term providing that payment is received by the date specified on the website.
If you would like to terminate your child's place at Showstoppers Classes you must inform us in writing with one half-terms notice. In that case your child's place will expire on the last day of the current term. Termination will only be accepted when received by Showstoppers in writing at least a half term before termination.
If you need to cancel your child’s place once you have issued payment, you must let us know in writing up to 6 days after their first session to be entitled to a full refund.
If you need to cancel your child's place and have not written to us in these 6 days, you will not be entitled to any refund apart from in exceptional circumstances such as family bereavement or a serious medical illness.
In the unlikely event that the venue has to terminate classes, then any costs already paid by you for the remainder of the term will be refunded in full.
If your child becomes unwell and is not able to attend a session we do not accept swapping another child in their place. This is due to security reasons.
If you miss one or more Showstoppers class due to a holiday, special occasion, or your child becomes unwell, the week will not be refunded.
If in an exceptional circumstance Showstoppers needs to cancel a session, we will notify you as soon as possible in writing via email and text and it is then your responsibility to make alternative arrangements for your child.
School Pick up Service (Only Applicable for Akiva Students)
By opting for after school pick ups, you accept that this will come at an extra cost per child as stated on the booking form.
If you miss one or more Showstoppers class due to a holiday, special occasion, or your child becomes unwell, the cost for school pick up will not be refunded.
You must do your utmost to ensure that your child is aware that they will need to depart from school promptly, to ensure that the other children will not be waiting around for them. If your child consistently causes delay for the other children or causes any problems before class starts we reserve the right to terminate their pick up service.
If your child is not at school one day or does not require a pick up for any reason, it is imperative that you let us know in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org and via text to Miriam on 07763 915 011 in advance or before 12pm on the day. Please note it is NOT sufficient for their friend or teacher to inform us of this at pick up time. Failure to inform us in this way could result in a decision to terminate your child's pick up service.
You accept that we take responsibility for your child from the moment they leave the school to the moment you pick them up after class.
